Item Description
This piece is from a find in Chenzhou from around 2005 featuring, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, pseudo-pyritohedral, very light straw colored Calcite crystals on Quartz matrix. The specimen is in great shape overall, with only a few contacts that I can see on the front side. The piece still displays very well and looks beautiful up close. The largest crystal measures 1.3 cm across, and would certainly make a great addition to a worldwide Calcite suite, or a collection of Chinese minerals. I have not seen many of these around, and this is one of the better pieces I have offered in the auctions in while. Valued at $950 in the inventory.
