Item Description

This piece is from a fairly recent find at Chenzhou featuring, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, pseudo-pyritohedral, very light straw colored crystals on Quartz matrix. The specimen is in great shape overall, and displays very well. The largest crystal measures 1.3 cm across, and would certainly make a good addition to a worldwide Calcite suite, or a collection of Chinese minerals. I have not seen many of these around, and this is one of the better pieces I have offered in the auctions in while. The specimen is nearly a complete "floater", as it's completely crystallized all the way around, with only one small point of contact.
