Item Description

A showy near large cabinet-sized piece of this attractive and distinctive material. This particular specimen dates back to a find at the Shizhuyuan Mine around 2005. This eye-catching big cabinet piece hosts excellent, gemmy, sharp, lustrous, pseudo-pyritohedral (trigonal), pale straw colored Calcite crystals sitting on a layer of drusy Quartz on three-dimensional matrix. This particular crystal habit is rarely seen from any Chinese locality. The piece is in very good condition, with only a few tiny nicks. The largest crystal measures 1.7 cm across. This piece would make a great addition to a worldwide Calcite suite, or a Chinese mineral collection. Very few of these pieces are available on the market now, so if you missed out when they were available, be sure to pick this one up.
