Item Description
Outstanding, 360 degree all-around, 'starburst' cluster of the well-known Calcite after Ikaite pseudomorphs from Russia. The Ikaite formed in a cold, sea environment, and a rise in temperature over time caused the Ikaite to de-water and pseudomorph into the Calcite. Dramatic crystallization is preserved after the replacement. The aesthetics are excellent, and the uniform, tan coloration is aesthetically somehow pleasing , together with the shape. It looks very geometric and special in person, although the flat photos convey this poorly.
