Calcite & Prehnite (RARE combo - Sanabria Coll.)

Item Description

Calcite is VERY RARE from this quarry in the La Cabrera pluton. This impressive and sculptural large combination is highlighted by the striking large tabular hexagonal "pokerchip" style rhombs. The rhombs are lustrous, translucent and have striking pretty zones of amber to creamy color. The left side of the piece has clusters of glassy, translucent variable light mint-green prehnite blades. The matrix on this side is quartz and pink orthoclase. A dramatic, RARE and very showy large combination from the Raul Sanabria Collection. The calcites GLOW, when back lit!
