Item Description

A classic, very sculptural, pristine large 360-degree calcite from Santa Eulalia. Striking aborescent clusters of stacked lustrous, translucent, lightly oxide-tinted dogtooth calcite crystals make for an artisitically composed specimen. Certainly uncommon to find a Santa Eulalia calcite with this crystal form and density in pristine condition. Ex Bill Panczner Collection :Bill was the first Curator of Earth Science at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum in 1974 and the author of the 1987 book Minerals of Mexico.
