Item Description

Malmberget is one of the great classic Swedish locales - an old iron mining area dating back to 1741, producing gorgeous and iconic mineral specimens, including some of the most beautiful Calcites you'll ever see.. This piece is a lovely association specimen featuring sharp, well-formed, virtually colorless, gemmy/translucent, prismatic trigonal crystals of Calcite measuring up to 2.1 cm, sitting atop classic golden colored "sheaf"-like crystals of Stilbite Subgroup (the specific species isn't known).
