Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, beautifully striated, blocky, light amber calcite rhombs are very attractively set on massive sphalerite matrix on this showy and excellent old-timer from Wisconsin. The modified rhombs measure up to 4.0 and are nearly all pristine, with only a slight contact on one crystal. Amber colored calcite is fairly uncommon from the noted Blackstone Mine and this is an outstanding combination example. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 3324, with a 1992 date.
