Calcite on Sphalerite (Consie Prince Coll.)

A gorgeous, classic, large calcite crystal on sphalerite with a bit of barite from the famous and now-closed Elmwood Mine. This gemmy and lustrous, amber beauty is actually doubly terminated on the lower left side. The primary termination is super sharp, gemmier and has more intense golden color. Everything you want in a large Elmwood calcite. This termination is essentially pristine. The slight edgewear on the right side of the crystal is noted, but is a very minor detraction. This is a dramatic and very aesthetic CABINET calcite from this renowned locale and would look great in any collection. Ex Consie Prince Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
