Calcite on Sphalerite (Consie Prince Coll.)

A gorgeous, 3.8 cm, gem-like, calcite scalenohedron is aesthetically perched on massive sphalerite matrix on this fine and beautiful combination piece from the famous and now-closed Elmwood Mine. The calcite is mostly very light amber, but grades upward to classic golden-amber at the termination. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine, microscopic termination wear is noted, but is certainly not a detraction to this excellent piece. Ex Consie Prince Collection.
