Item Description

Sculptural and excellent combination material from the historic mines at Trepca. Glassy, translucent, colorless, complex calcite rhombs are aesthetically clustered and mounded on the sphalerite crystal matrix. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 5554 and acquired from Sol Shale in the late 1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic and excellent, old-time 360-degree combination material. Pretty pink fluorescence.
