Item Description

A lovely and very attractive association specimen from southwestern Colorado. A great piece for obscure locality Calcite collectors. This piece features some really eye-catching, satiny, colorless modified scalenohedra of gemmy Calcite sitting on massive brown Siderite matrix. The largest Calcite crystal measures 1.6 cm and is undamaged. The piece was collected by Robert Stoufer in the 1990s. You don't see good specimens of this material on the market, and this is actually only one of a handful of these pieces that I've seen.
