Item Description
Sharp, translucent, blocky calcite rhombs, to 3.1 cm on edge, with satin luster faces are very aesthetically intertwined with coated quartz crystals on this pristine sculptural two-sided small cabinet from the well-known Potosi Mine at famed Santa Eulalia. The quartz crystals are up to 4.7 cm long. See the 2018 Mineralogical Record Mexico Special Issue VIII, Vol. 49, No. 1. Neon-orange fluorescence is a bonus or maybe might be the most important factor here, depending on how you collect. A very fine and sculptural calcite and quartz from the Potosi Mine, of 1960s or 1970s vintage - old material! Ex Bob Reynolds Collection.
