Item Description
Calcite and quartz specimens are extremely RARE from the famous mines at Neudorf, renowned for world-class galena and siderite specimens. Two, pristine, upright, frosted, translucent, nailhead, calcite rhombs to 2.1 cm are aesthetically set on the edge of a striking, sculptural, furrowed plate of beautiful, scintillating, tiny, quartz points. An outstanding, old and rare combination specimen from this historic locale. Ex Freiberg Academy with a 1878 date on the label on the back of the piece and the Herb Obodda Collection # 1410.
