A striking, aesthetic and uncommon calcite and quartz combination from the famous mines at Santa Eulalia. Glassy, colorless, dogtooth calcite crystal rosettes totally cap and individual calcites cover the sides and hide the underlying quartz crystals. The mounded matrix, with the largest shrub-like rosettes in the back, really accentuates the fine visual appeal of this older epitaxial combination specimen from the Jaime Bird Collection. Specimens with this look and quality are uncommon and this excellent piece has many display possibilities.
