Item Description
A stunningly beautiful and shapely, 3.8 x 3.7 cm, calcite "butterfly" is very aesthetically set on the undulating large matrix plate covered with sparkly, druzy quartz crystals. The translucent, satin luster, cream-colored "wings" are composed of stacked clusters of slightly bulging, flattened, rhombohedral calcite disks. Pink LW UV calcite fluorescence highlights the butterfly. The polymetallic sulfide mine is well-known for rhodochrosite and sulfide ore species. This fascinating, outstanding and aesthetic calcite combination was part of Rob's childhood calcite collection of the 1980s. An exceptionally fine and RARE style of calcite from the locale.
