Item Description
The remote Nanisivik Iron Mine is above the Arctic Circle on Baffin Island and is one of the most remote and inhospitable mining locations on earth. The mine closed in 2002. This aesthetic association specimen is highlighted by the 1.8 cm, doubly terminated, semi-lustrous translucent, amber Calcite crystal sitting Pyrie matrix. Good quality and no real damage to speak of on the Calcite.
