Superb combination piece of some of the very best Calcite I have seen from this old US locale, in big gemmy rhombs with slight curvature. They are perched on mint green Prehnite and associated with minor black babingtonite, on classic traprock matrix. The four Calcite rhombs range up to 2.3 cm on edge, and they are lustrous, sharp, and partially gemmy. The Prehnite is very lustrous and translucent. Add a few babingtonite crystals peeking out from below, and you have a killer combination piece from a classic locale! Charlie was an avid collector of prehnites in particular. Valued $300-500
