Calcite on hematite-included Quartz stalactite

Item Description

From a small NEW Chinese find from this locale, noted for gem sphalerite. A dramatic and showy stalactite of rust-red hematite included in glassy quartz crystals capped by a striking, 3.0 cm, cluster of highly lustrous and translucent, light amber calcite rhombs. More smaller, gem-like rhombs sprinkled down the front add pazzazz. This fine piece is complete all-around and very nearly pristine, with only very trivial scattered bruising to the very top of the calcite cluster and quartz. Very uncommon material.
