Calcite on hematite-included Quartz

Item Description

Two, complex, translucent, creamy calcite rombs with beautiful striated faces are aesthetically perched on the sculptural matrix plate of hematite-included quartz crystals. The large rhomb is 2.3 cm across. The crystals are complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a tiny bit of barely noticeable bruising and contacting. This is a really nifty and cool piece. Showy and excellent combination material from this well-known Chinese locale, famous for gem sphalerite crystals. From a small 2011 find.
