Calcite on Fluorite (superb thumbnail)

Outstanding cluster of gemmy, super-lustrous golden Calcite crystals, resting on top of deep purple Fluorite. Each Calcite is an absolute gem in it's own right, with mirror-like faces and complex habit. The largest is 1.7 cm in length. These very much remind me of the Elmwood calcites, and those are the very best in the world. This is a KILLER toenail from the Sam Nasser thumbnail collection.
