Fantastic, golden stepped-growth, translucent calcite scalenohedrons have stunning secondary colorless calcite spikes on this outstanding large two-sided calcite on fluorite combination from the famous Annabel Lee Mine. The dramatic arrangement of the calcites on the translucent rich purple fluorite makes for an otherworldly specimen. The large calcite is 3.8 cm and the nest of spiky calcites at one end really add pizzazz to this exceptional specimen. A surreal 360-degree specimen with only trivial, hard-to-see bruising to a couple of the calcite terminations. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 1367 and acquired in March, 1990. Fairly valued at $1250.
