Calcite on Fluorite (Ross Lillie Coll.)

Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, straw-yellow complex calcite rhombs are aesthetically clustered on a purple fluorite cubes on this showy and excellent small cabinet combination from the famous Denton Mine. The impressive large 4.0 cm rhomb in the center is twinned, adding pizzazz. The bit of gentle bruising to the calcites is noted, but is certainly only a modest detraction to this classic fine piece from the Ross Lillie Collection # 1606. The piece was collected from the "Timber" drift of the Bahama orebody in December, 1992. The piece looks great from either direction.
