Calcite on Fluorite (Rare style)

China keeps surprising us, particularly with interesting new combination specimens! These aesthetic second-growth calcite clusters feature lustrous, translucent, prismatic crystals in a handsome interlocking arrangement, usually simply on flat and featureless plates. This piece has calcites nicely spread out on a shell-like quartz matrix, and associated with fluorite. It is very unusual to see the calcite from this locality with fluorite. The largest calcite cluster even looks like a hat perched upon the fluorite. Very cute association! It is also a significantly large and aesthetic display piece overall, quite different than most that came out (circa 2018-19). Valued $2000-2400
