Item Description

Mineral specimens of any type from this long-closed quarry are very rare and calcite is extremely rare. This stunning combination features a striking pair of very glassy, light yellow, calcite spires dramatically set on a field of dull brown, blocky, fluorite cubes with moderate luster. The calcites are essentially pristine in the display view, with only very trivial edge rubbing noted. Striking contrasting fluorescence! The calcite is pink and the fluorite is strange ochre-green!
