Sharp, well-formed, lustrous, gemmy, soft golden colored, pseudo-pyritohedral crystals of Calcite measuring up to 2.3 cm across sit atop a layer of starkly contrasting purple Fluorite on matrix from the famous Annabel Lee Mine in southern Illinois. Classic material from this renowned specimen producing region. Most of the Calcites are damage free, and the only real damage is around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. From the collection of Ross Lille (Specimen #RCL0402), whose label states it was collected in November of 1989. Valued at $800.
