Calcite on Fluorite (ex. Mullane Coll.)

Item Description

A rare large plate of chunky, transparent crystals of calcite with sharp, lustrous faces, wrapped around a chunk of green fluorite that you can still see underneath, from Washington State. This specimen came out of the Mullane collection, from which we have begun to disperse some unusual pieces such as this one. I recall seeing a few of these when I was a kid...perhaps somebody out there can remind me the locality as this one did not have a surviving label.
