Item Description
Glassy, transparent to translucent, sharp light amber calcite disks are festooned on the dramatically stepped-growth large fluorite cube from the Annabel Lee Mine. The impressive large calcite rhomb in the front is 2.1 cm across. The fluorite looks dark purple in ordinary light. The striking individual stepped-growth cubes have satin lustre faces, but back lighting shows these gemmy crystals have pretty lavender color with fascinating darker edge phantoms. The attachment on the back shows a bonus, as there are zones of fluorescent yellow hydrocarbons with the modest purple fluorescence. A classic, very showy and rich large fluorite and calcite combination from this mine.
