Item Description

Mineral specimens from this old less well-known Tri-State District Pb-Zn mine are uncommon and are seldom on the market. This very aesthetic combination features a 4.5 cm, gemmy, very sharp, straw-yellow calcite crystal jauntily perched on a matrix of lustrous, pastel-pink, saddle-shaped dolomite rhombs dusted with brassy chalcopyrites. The frontal view of this beautiful, complete all-around crystal is pristine and the trivial bit of bruising on the back is out-of-sight. Very choice and rare older combination material. Valued by the former dealer at $450.
