Calcite on Cuboctahedral Galena (Belsky Coll.)

Item Description

Calcite on galena combination specimens are a Sweetwater Mine classic and this is a very fine example. Lustrous, translucent, amber, calcite crystals are very aesthetically set on the mounded specimen. Most of the calcites are doubly terminated, including the largest, at 4.0 cm and all are pristine. Intergrown clusters of very sharp, moderately lustrous, cuboctahedral galena crystals are scattered on the front, and are strikingly concentrated on one side and the crest of this very showy, older specimen.
