Calcite on Colemanite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

An old classic from Boron featuring attractive oddly spherical groups of golden-yellow Calcite measuring up to 1.0 cm across sitting on sharp, well-formed, gemmy colorless crystals of Colemanite measuring up to 2.2 cm long on matrix. Hard to find on the market these days, and a staple from Boron. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1511). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
