Item Description

Wow! This is certainly one of the most unusual, sculptural and colorful large calcite and chalcedony combinations we have seen from the famed Deccan Basalt Traps of Maharashtra. A striking, 3.2 x 2.4 x 2.0 cm, rectangular "castle" with blocky, lustrous and translucent golden-brown calcite rhomb corner "towers" is embedded in a sparkly mounded second generation of colorless drusy chalcedony dramatically and aesthetically set above the rolling "plain" of the vug lined with strikingly contrasting sparkly cornflower-blue chalcedony. Every turn of this exotic piece presents a fantastically different perspective to the calcite and chalcedony castle. RARE and most excellent combination material in this style and high quality. A must for the species or locality collector.
