Item Description

A striking, unusual and probably unique specimen from Charcas. The mounded CABINET specimen is totally covered with water-clear, gem, calcite scalenohedrons to 2.0. A few are even doubly terminated! The matrix is a thin crust of chalcedony. Flip the specimen over and the striking concave interior shows that the chalcedony was casted after dissolved away calcite rhombs! Pristine, amazing for such a soft species! A beautiful, weird, rare and wonderful casted combination specimen from this famous locale from the Dave Stoudt Collection # 334. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
