A pristine and gorgeous "dogtooth"-habit scalenohedral crystal of Calcite measuring 1.2 cm long sits beautifully on the underlying crystallized soft blue Celestine matrix. The Calcite is damage free, sharp, smooth and lustrous with a bit of gemminess near the termination and a soft golden color. Very aesthetic and showy, and despite the common nature of the two species, one rarely sees them together like this from the N'Chwaning II Mine. A gorgeous small miniature that could be trimmed down to a rocking thumbnail if one desired.
