Calcite on Calcite (weird form)

A strange, yet very interesting looking calcite on calcite from the Bor Pit. This tabular, translucent, calcite scalenohedron has a colorless core with an unusual frosted, olive-green exterior. The weird-looking, second generation, tan calcites look like stilbite bowties or cauliflower florets! We have never seen another like it from this locale and it may well be unique. Pristine. Valued at $400.
