Item Description

This famous quarry has produced many calcite specimens, but very few better than this one for sheer color and robust form : It is a colorful specimen with high luster and a gemmy knob-like complex termination. Exhibiting stepped growth in the lower 2/3 of its length, this crystal blossoms into a glassy and gemmy, rich amber color in the upper 1/3. Truly lovely! I have not seen a better one of this style.
