Item Description

A large, blocky, translucent, straw-yellow, calcite rhomb with striking stepped-growth faces is nicely set on a limestone wedge covered with both smaller calcite rhombs and dogtooth crystals. A showy and excellent specimen from the well-known White Rock Quarry of Ohio. The rhomb is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a gently bruised back corner. Uncommon material in this quality from this locale.
