Item Description

Four beautiful, super-gemmy, amber calcite rhombs are aesthetically scattered on shale matrix covered with scintillating, tiny calcites from the 2009 Chinese find. The large rhomb is 4.0 cm. These caused quite a stir at the 2009 Munich Show and the 2010 Tucson Show. The crystals are very glassy and limpid. Very nearly pristine. The second largest calcite has one small edge bruise. The piece displays beautifully on the custom-made and engraved lucite base, included for free. A very fine, large matrix specimen from this find. The locality in Hubei Province was not divulged for some time. An early piece, as the label states Hunan Province.
