Item Description
Spectacular burst of cave formed ice white Calcite growths that look like organic tentacles (technical term = speleothems) on a contrasting brown Calcite matrix. These beautiful growths are covered with a microcrystalline coating of translucent clear to white Calcite that just sparkles from every angle. It is that calcite upon calcite combination that makes this so special! It is truly glittering in person! The longest spire is 4.1 cm. The Calcites are in near pristine condition with only very minor bruising. The overall radiating architectural form is just mesmerizing. This really takes on a much better visual experience in person. From the Gary Weaver Collection (he specialized in Mexico and the Southwest).
