A fabulous looking large calcite combination piece from Elmwood. An impressive, 9.7 cm, calcite crystal points skyward from the dramatic and highly sculptural matrix of massive barite with a striking, well-placed large fragment of silicified limestone. The calcite is classic style, with the gorgeous, gemmy, golden amber termination. The crystal is also partially doubly terminated. The two smaller calcites are super accents. The beautiful calcite is complete all-around. A bit of rubbing is noted on two edges and the termination is gently cleaved, but has minimal impact to the primary display view and overall superlative aesthetic quality of the piece. This is certainly one of the most exotic and excellent large calcite combos from the Consie Prince Collection, that we have offered at auction. Older material.
