Item Description
Aesthetic example of the classic calcite AND the classic amethyst from this old Mexican locale, combined on one perfectly balanced specimen! The piece is a bi-colored 3.0 x 3.0 x 1.5 cm specimen consisting of plate of prismatic purple Quartz var. Amethyst and balanced by its other half of tabular translucent colorless Calcite. This is an old classic, but seldom seen on matrix or in thumbnail size, and was a treasured piece in the special calcite suite of the Schauss collection (nearly 100 pieces!).
