Item Description
A classic style, rarely seen today! Amethyst with Calcite specimens are one the desirable, signature accessory species from the famous and historic silver mines at Guanajuato. Here is a striking 3.1 cm, upright, tabular, hexagonal frosted poker chip Calcite crystal that dominates this classic and aesthetic combination. This very fine small cabinet combination plate is accented with smaller poker chip calcite crystals nicely placed the on the glassy, translucent, blush-purple Amethyst crystals. The major calcites are pristine on this high quality classic combination. Ex Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection and dates to the 1960s to 80s. The piece displays well from either side. This is probably from the Peregrina Mine, Guanajuato Mun., Guanajuato, Mexico.
