Glassy, translucent, colorless, nailhead calcite rhombs totally cover the mounded quartz matrix on this excellent specimen from this famous old Scottish locale. Calcites of this style are rare from here. Complete all-around and pristine. Choice material from the Dennis Mullane Collection and comes with a 1950s-60s Burminco label. Faint pink fluorescence.
