Both sides of this impressive old Kansas portion of the famous Tri-State District modified calcite scalenohedron have striking very well defined twinning planes. The lustrous, translucent, rich amber crystal has frosted, lightly etched faces, adding character. A classic 360-degree calcite, that is essentially pristine, with only very trivial edge wear.
