Item Description

A classic, old-time calcite on sulfide matrix specimen from the historic Freiberg District. Stout, lustrous, translucent, prismatic crystals, to 2.3 cm, with trigonal terminations totally cover the front of the undulating matrix. The bit of bruising to one area has only minimal impact to this excellent old-timer. Uncommon in this fine form and displays well from several sides. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and comes with a faded older Harvard Museum label # 70391, with an identical number on the back of the piece.
