Calcite (old classic) ex Obodda

Item Description

An aesthetic old-time 360-degree calcite from the famous Bigrigg Mine. An impresssive jackstraw cluster of glassy, water-clear to translucent nailhead spar calcite crystals rests on a thin crust of hematite kidney ore matrix. The beauiful large calcite is 4.3 cm and some of the terminations have very nifty iron oxides preferentially deposited on them. Complete all-around, the interior is pristine. The scattered periphery is certainly only a modest detraction to this fine old classic from the Herb Obodda dealer stock.
