A classic, old-time calcite from the famous mines at St. Andreasberg. Blocky, lustrous and translucent, grayish-tan, calcite rhombs to 1.8 cm compose this showy and excellent piece. St. Andreasberg has produced a stunning variety of calcites and this is certainly a fine example from this historic district. From an old museum Collection, and comes with a 19th century label in German.
