Egremont calcites are a highly desirable English and worldwide classic, with most coming out of the iron mines prior to World War I. This excellent scalenohedron is aesthetically attached to limonite matrix. The termination is water-clear gem grading down to translucent. This fine highly representative old-timer is complete all-around and is nearly pristine, with only trivial edge scuffing. Valued by the former dealer at $295.
