Calcite (old classic)

Item Description

Old-time, rich and showy large 360-degree calcite plate from one of the older locations in the Chenzhou district. Satin luster, translucent, nailhead spar calcite crystals richly and aesthetically cover the sculptural large specimen. The prisms reach 3.5 cm and all of the many crystals in the interior are pristine. The noted, acceptable periphery wear have very minimal impact to the overall quality of this specimen. Pink LW UV fluorescence indicates a small manganese impurity to give the color.
