Item Description
From a new find in Peru in late 2017, these Calcites are just a bit different from others we've seen from this prolific Calcite-producing country, Sharp, well-formed, prismatic, white, gemmy / translucent crystals of Calcite measuring up to 1.3 cm are associated with shiny silvery cubic Galena and minor Pyrite and Sphalerite. Very good quality and showy. The piece shows good fluorescence under UV light. The piece is in great shape on the display side, with a bit of roughness around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. If you collect Calcites or Peruvian minerals, don't miss out on this one, as it seems to have come from a small discovery according to our source in Peru.
